OSRIC omits that part in parenthesis and states that the PC will start bleeding out from 0, but doesn't clarify whether damage from a blow will always stop at 0, then letting the countdown begin, or if a blow can bring a PC from positive into a negative number beyond 0 and having the countdown start from there.Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08192212467523179768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2978232334912384498.post-16122747931619955042019-03-22T16:08:02.329-05:002019-03-22T16:08:02.329-05:00I think it's better to just have 0 or less HP ...I think it's better to just have 0 or less HP mean you're dead.Jonathanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01248905587983891548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2978232334912384498.post-54509015830218029032019-03-22T14:26:43.627-05:002019-03-22T14:26:43.627-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.jubokehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07861483489598549327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2978232334912384498.post-49230813562852382172019-03-22T12:54:38.169-05:002019-03-22T12:54:38.169-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.jubokehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07861483489598549327noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2978232334912384498.post-2041446431222628942019-03-22T02:46:53.311-05:002019-03-22T02:46:53.311-05:00Yeah, I think that's basically it but I don...Yeah, I think that's basically it but I don't think the PC is immune from damage caused by further attacks, if that is what you mean. From there, the score is reduced by 1 per round as a timer counting down to actual death.

So, let's say a blow reduces my character to 0. No further damage can be done to my character, except for the automatic 1 point every round. If we were using the optional rule, being damaged to -3 in one hit—say I was at 2 and took 5 points of damage—would reduce my character to -3, but no further hits could damage my character, only the automatic reduction of 1 point per round until my character dies at -10.faoladhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03691952430041394614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2978232334912384498.post-2901173877384010152019-03-21T17:32:00.051-05:002019-03-21T17:32:00.051-05:00Why yes, yes it is.
